About the huge explosina in San Bruno, California, why are so many jumping to all the wrong?

To all the wrong conclusions about why this happened. I have read on yahoo news comments it was done my Muslims, by the devil,by God, by someone angry, etc. Here are the facts so far as I know them. Gas was smelled in this neighborhood for several weeks. PG&E(the gas company here) did respond to these complaints, but NOTHING thus far has been said from them about this. The pipe where the gas comes into the neighborhood was about 24" across(a big pipe to say the least). So, why do people right off the bat make such horrid comments without one single fact? BTW, I live about 70 miles from San Bruno.

i just finished my freshman year in college and i reaeeeeeally messed up. i had a very rough year and missed my midterms due to a death in the family. since i missed my midterms, the grades i got were 5 Bs and 2 Cs, and 1 F (but it is getting dropped because i missed more than 2 labs and they couldn't p me). hpwever, I want to get into medical school. I am thinking of taking the cl that I got a C on, and during the summer again. if i get an A, which grade would med schools look at and which once counts for the GPA. As of right now I have a gpa of 2.3. this is the lowest grade that i have had in my life. I had a perfect 4.0 in HS. and have NEVEr gotten below an A. What do I do? cause i really want to get into med school?????????? plese help?????

I can say that I don't normally care about a fish death it it was eaten or killed by something else in the tank. I do however care about every animal in my tank. I buy them because I like them. Does anyone have a problem with their brain blocking out deep thought and prolonged reasoning?

For awhile now it seems like my brain blocks out prolonged reasoning and deep thought like when I'm trying to really go into deep thought and focus on something. I used to be able to use pictures and scenarios in my head that would help me learn now whenever I try to do that my brain blocks it and I begin to get anxiety and depression from this. Also I have sometimes uncontrollable thoughts that can sometimes overtake my functioning in life. Please help if anybody has this same problem. Tips if any?

I'm desparate to loss weight and tone my body...?

Recently I decided to avoid all wheat products: bread, pasta, flour tortillas, cake, cookies, beer (made with fermented grains) - anything made with flour. Instead, I ate more fruits and veggies, even chocolate! Just by avoiding wheat products, I lost 2 sizes in 6 weeks, and was never hungry. I guess I have a sensitivity to gluten, and never realized it. It cost me nothing to try it, and I didn't make the doctor rich: no diet pills or meds. It may be worth a try for a couple months. If it works, great! If not, you still have a healthy diet. Hope it helps!

Garage Door Senor + Sunlight Help!!!?

Switch the two sensors w/ each other. It usually solves the problem because one side is a receiver & the other side is a transmitter. The sun is currently shining on the receiver side to where it "blinds it". So putting the receiver on the other side puts it in the shade to where it can see again.

I am a graphics designer and designed a logo for a client. My client received a call from his competitor accusing him of copying his logo. I spoke to his competitor and tried to explain my design approach....but only got abuse from them over the phone! I had a look at his competitors logo and and can honestly say it looks nothing like it. I did a trademark search on his competitor’s logo and noticed, they have not registered their logo as a trademark. Now if i was to trademark their logo with IPO. I'm fairly sure you can lay it right over the tiles, because the wooden floor is what they call a floating floor! It just sites on top of the old floor. Neck injury...seeing a doctor vs. home care? Please help?

Today, I took a plunge down some stairs. My neck immediately started to hurt but I was able enough to move my head and whatnot. I believe what exactly happened was when I slipped down the stairs my backside took the grunt of the fall and the back of my neck hit each step. It is a few hours later and the base of my neck seems to really really hurt. It hurts whenever I turn it and even just sitting around it just...hurts. I'm wondering if I should be concerned enough to see a doctor? I just lost my insurance so I really want to avoid going if I can. I don't know whether it could be a strain, sprain or what have you. Is the manager and/or owner of a building in Florida liable?

My question pertains to the building that exploded in Deerfield Beach, Florida this past Thursday morning. My car was totalled by falling cinder blocks from that building. The cause of the explosion seems to have been the propane system that was used for the water heaters, stoves and laundry rooms. That same building was cited with 14 violations by the city fire marshall last year. It is not known as yet if any of those violations relate to the propane system. Additionally, the city fire marshall was several months late inspecting the building. Is the building manager and/or owner liable to pay for the damages? If so, what damages can be recovered? Does the status of whether or not the propane system was cited in the prior year have a bearing on the issue?

When I was 17 my dad became very ill with liver cancer, I took him to every single appointment, anything he needed I DID IT!!, I dropped out of high school to take care of gim. then sept 9th 2008 he got a liver transplant. I thought everything was fine. But he is deeply depressed and its on methadone. and takes too much. My mom just got out of the hospital with pancreantitis and celulitis. I want to get my ged. go to college, lose weight, get a job, move out. But I dont know how too. I say im going to do all these things but they never happen. First let me say that on the wekends I work 16 hour shifts..8am-12am so sleep is very important to me. That being said with power with nothing working says that the ground or common line in the group is burned through. I Need Advice, I Need To Figure Out My Religious Status?

I live in the Bronx in New York, and I was born and raised here, I have Ghanaian descents, and my father and a few of my uncles are currently Muslim. There are no muslim women in my family except for my younger sister. I am young, 13, and I am afraid. Afraid of what? Afraid that my whole mentality state would completely disemble because of my anxiousness and my various accounts where I do nothing all day but sit there and think, hard. My mother and my older sister raised me as a Christian until my father took over and raised me as a Muslim. And I currently attend a Catholic Middle School, so yes it is likely I would be confused. But now I feel like Catholicism has too much mysteries for me to understand completely, so does Christianity and Islam. There are too many "ifs" and "maybes" and "perhaps", and yet people are so sure that they're faith is the right one. Islam is too intolerant and I vomit at the thought of women being treated like a lower cl, as if they are animals. Little girls getting married to old men, that just makes me sick. The Muslim community I know now are nice except they are a little stubborn and refuse to admit that there are some faults in their religion. I was taught that Muhammad was a great man and he did this and that to help this and that, I know all of that. But now I'm seeing and hearing stuff that he was murderer and he was a pedophile, raping 9 year old Aisha and attacking the Jewish tribe. You see? There is too much confusion in all of this. I just want to live a happy life with a free mind. I believe in God and yet I am just not sure if I belive in all of that extra stuff. Those stuff that are "paths to happiness", I feel like the only path to happiness is just by following God and being a good person. Nothing more. Maybe being Protestant is better. Because it is simple and maybe they tried to inflict their idealogy on other people, but the fact of the matter is, Martin Luther was just like me, tired of having to follow what people told them and having to figure to many stuff out or just leaving it and letting become a mystery while you believe in it? I mean come on. Sometimes being atheist is an option here too. Idk, I just want to live a life where I have to stop asking myself "What does that mean" or "Why is that", and being disappointed because "I am not to question". Help, I need the help I can get while I still have my youth, because I don't want to spend my life thinking, when I can just be enjoying it.

I heard that all you need to go to Heaven is that you open your heart to God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, so that we may become pure and spend eternal life with him in Heaven. I read 11 chapters of the Book of Genesis, but I don't pray daily. My Great Dane puppy accidentally ingested rat poison. I took her to the vet this morning. She was given a vitamin K injection in three places as well as vitamin K pills to take for the next 2 weeks. The injection site on her back has swelled up. I am anti-social and lonely .x. I was born with a disfiguring problem called gynecomastia which makes a guy have and it isn't due to being fat or overweight. I am 6ft tall and weigh 165-175 (it fluctuates)but I still have these little s that I used to get teased about all my life growing up so, I know girls wouldn't like me if I have them, and I can't get a job because I was teased so much I am constantly thinking about it. I can't go to a doctor (psychological or surgical) because I have no money, and no family members to support me, no friends at all and I've written the government for help and they don't care. So I am very lonely all day at home in my room unable to do anything. I feel so hopeless and useless and I just don't know what to do. My aren't even huge or anything, they're definitely not masculine but they certainly aren't large (maybe half a hand full or so) but still I cannot battle my anxiety with logic, it is too over powering. I have a litter box in the corner of his cage, where I use Carefresh ultra. And I use fleece for his bedding.I have him for a month now been training him for 3 weeks or more. He sometimes will go in his box but more often go on his fleece. He also tends to kick the litter out of the litter box and pee and poo goes all over, also making him start to smell (having to wash him more) He also goes underneath the fleece and likes to make a mess and sleep and pee underneath the fleece on the bare surface of the cage. Today I was at a street party, and the children were running up and down the street (a friend lives on the street). My daughter (7) ran up to me and said "mummy, we're (her friend who lives on the street and my daughter) are going to a mans house to play music". I said "whoaa, what mans house, I'm coming with you". So we all went to my daughter's friend's neighbor's house, and the bloke in there was a really dodgy looking 55+old man. The house was really messy, it stunk of weed, and the man was obviously an alcoholic. He had loads and loads of musical instruments. I said the children could play the instruments for a few minutes, and I started talking the man, he said "I love children, they come over all the time to play the instruments and I give them sweets or we play football".......I was like, ok then! We left, and I went to my daughter's friend's mum, and said "do you think it's ok to let you child visit him?" and my friend (the mum) said "oh yeah, he's fine all the children go over to his house because he give them sweets and lets them play his instruments, he's just eccentric" (I was surprised because this is a very smart women who is a teacher. Is adding extra water to infant formula dangerous?

My son who turned 6 months old yesterday loves to eat. He drinks formula and because I do not want him becoming overweight like some of the other formula fed babies I've seen, I just add extra water to his bottles. I mix 3-4 scoops of formula with 9 oz of water. 9 oz is the highest marking on his bottle, then I fill the bottle to the rim with extra water. This seems to do the trick , then I put a pacifier in his mouth. What I need to know is, Does the water interfere with proper absorption of the nutrients in the formula?

Why did my dog randomly start eating gr?

The other night, my dog started making noises like he was about to throw up. To prevent him from doing this in the house, we let him outside. Instead of throwing up, he began to obsessively eat as much snow as he could. This has also happened about two other times, in the summer, with gr. When we let him inside, he begins licking the floor, and eating any small objects he can find, inclusing wood chips from near the fireplace, and small pieces of plastic. He does this obsessively too, and all but ignores us when we call him or pet him. We had to put him in his crate to prevent him from eating anything that could be dangerous to him! Try a CD with nature sounds, like waterfalls, rain, birds..stuff like that. I am an off and on insomniac and have tried lots of things, I agree with you about the sleeping pills, they don't really work the way they should. One thing I do a lot is turn on a fan, the sound is somehow soothing in a way. It helps me get to sleep most of the time.

Yesterday I had some weird ave.exe virus that included Vista Security popups like crazy, and I think I removed most of it. Microsoft Security Essentials shows no problems when I run a full scan, but an AVG scan still shows part of the virus somewhere, and in system32 folder something called perfstringbackup.tmp keeps showing up. Does this mean I still have a virus somewhere? I don't know too much about removing viruses and whatnot, so any help at all would be appreciated!

Deciding between occupational therapy and teaching.?

I’m a freshman in college and am still undecided. I know I want to work with children but am still teetering between OT and teaching (special ed or early childhood). There are several issues in both professions that I have been struggling with. One that is the most prevalent is age group, with teaching I would be guaranteed to work with kids but I know that there is a growing need for OTs to work with adult and geriatric patients. Probably one of the most difficult aspect of deciding for me is the coursework. Becoming an OT and a teacher means having very different cles. At first I was determined to become an OT. I have shadowed and volunteered in a variety of facilities with OTs, teachers and speech therapists. I liked the idea of being an OT because I am a creative individual and like the idea of forming unique plans and setting goals to help patients. Looking into the coursework for OT and possible majors at my university has made me wary. The requirements are growing and becoming more math and science-related. This is a problem for me as math/science is not my strong suite. I would like to have my dream career but also hopefully have a little less stress in college, taking cles that I can excel in. One other issue is the number of people working with, I think I would do best working one on one with the kids. OTs typically work with one patient at a time. Something that I think teaching offers more of is playfulness. Early childhood and special ed teachers have goals but seem to be able to goof of more and be more silly. I am a kid at heart and can appreciate fingerpaints , story books and all things in the clroom. The final issue is job availability and salary. OTs have a significantly higher salary and chance of getting a job. I would like to be able to decide soon to declare a major. All advice and experience is greatly appreciated!

How can i get rid of the bags under my eyes?

Hi my name is Cody and im 15 years old. I have pretty bad bags (dark circles) under my eyes. I've had him almost my whole life. I always get atleast 7+ hours of sleep, and sometimes i like to sleep in (9 or more hours). Everytime i go to the doctors, they make a comment about them, and they always say its allergies. But i've used the medication they've given me, and it doesn't help. I think they maybe hereditary? Just recently I saw the teaser for the second Alice game and i never had beaten the first so I decided to get it and beat it and i finally did and when I did there was no ending, the last boss blew up into a million pieces and I sat there waiting for a clip to come up but after sitting there for about 30 seconds the screen started to fade but it just skipped to the credits without any trace of an ending. Okay heres the deal, I've been working at my company for many years. Now lately certain coworkers and close friends of mine have been telling me that the supervisor of their department has been making very petty remarks about me. She even slipped up and said it to my face.
