American Mcgees Alice Ending?

Just recently I saw the teaser for the second Alice game and i never had beaten the first so I decided to get it and beat it and i finally did and when I did there was no ending, the last boss blew up into a million pieces and I sat there waiting for a clip to come up but after sitting there for about 30 seconds the screen started to fade but it just skipped to the credits without any trace of an ending. At first I thought there just wasn't one but then I searched youtube for the ending and it came up and I watched it and it definitely wasn't fan made So I know that there is an ending but why didn't i see it on the game do you have to get through the game without dying or something or did my game just mess up please help I don`t really feel the accomplishment of beating it without seeing the ending afterward.
