I have been researching aold stock certificate. what does it mean when the companys arent calling you back?

Buckeye-Belmont Mines Co. Inc. Stock Certificate. Tonopah, NV. 1000 Shares common stock. It hasn't been transferred and the company who is still operating isn't calling me back. Neither is Ameriprise. Which is from Toledo Ohio. The stock certificate says Transfer Office Toledo Ohio. Why aren't they calling me back and should I speak with a broker.
