Best way to remove burnt Oyster sauce off the bottom of a wok?

I'm a former footballer, not a gaurmet Chief, last night I almost destroyed my gf's non electric wok by cooking Oyster Chicken Wings A La cart, how do i get the burnt sauce off the bottom, without having to buy a new one? I used boiling water, than left it to soak in hot water & dish washing liquid over night.
