Changing initial group creation settings?

I just created a group after old moderator left area and didn't maintain the group and spam got out of control. When I initially created the group, I indicated that I needed approval for all messaged sent. I would like to change this because it's a hle but there doesn't appear to be any option. Any suggestions?
