When will we see a great heavyweight again?
The last time we saw a great heavyweight The Duke Of Normandy- William The Conqueror (William I) defeated King Harold at The Battle of Hastings in 1066 and commissioned the Domesday Book in 1086, There was a king's ransom for Richard The Lionheart (Richard I) in 1194 after he fought Saladin during the Crusades before dying in 1199, then his brother John (Lackland) became king and sealed the Magna Carta in 1215 at Runymede lol. Just kidding as boxing as we know it only started in 1743 when Jack Broughton devised the first prize rules. John Jackson then found the Pugilistic Society in 1814 which were superseded by the London Prize Rules in 1838 before John Graham Chambers drew up the Marquess of Queensberry Rules and asked John Sholto Douglas to sponsor them and lend them his name.
