If someone killed a kitten or puppy in 2-4 years, would that show they took proper care of it?

I can say that I don't normally care about a fish death it it was eaten or killed by something else in the tank. I do however care about every animal in my tank. I buy them because I like them. Because I like them, I will go the extra mile to keep them happy. Even the dreaded mantis shrimp that I got with a piece of live rock is well cared for by getting his own 12g aquarium that is nicer than many people's nano reefs. I would not be happy if my clowns didn't make it at least 10 years.
